Your life will go through a multitude of high and low moments. As I’m writing this book, I’m hoping that I’ve passed and survived my lowest moments, but of course, I know that’s not true. I know there is more to come and I accept that.
All of our lives are lived on a tightrope or a trapeze, that swings from side to side and very regularly wobbles. Our job is simply to try and stay upright over the wobbles. Sometimes we just need to bend our knees a little to keep us steady, other times we need people standing on either side of us with strong arms, propping us up and preventing us from falling.
Your happiness comes in small, fleeting moments too and needs to be appreciated, quickly, before it passes and the wobbles arrive again.
When you look at your life as short passing moments, it’s easier to understand the simplicity with which you should live.
You were born in a moment, and will die in a moment, and your life is all the moments that happen in between. Making each moment better than the last should be your mission.
